Over the 2014 fiscal year, we distributed 4.2 million pounds of food (equating to 4 million meals) and currently serve over 74,000 individuals annually. The Food Bank runs with over 100 years of combined tenure from 21 employees, of which 9 are program funded.

New Beginnings Recovery Homes Inc. is the “parent agency” for New Beginnings Shared and Permanent Housing. This agency has worked on the South and Westside of Chicago with socially liable populations (HIV+/AIDS Impacted Individuals, Chemically Dependent, Moderate Mentally Ill, Sex Offenders and Non-Sex Offenders) for the past 20 years. We have also worked with the Illinois Department of Corrections (5 year contract for sex offenders), Department of Corrections (Probation Department), Department of Children and Family Services ( Juvenile Court – We’ve helped men and/or women to hold onto their children or to get their children out of the court system).
