The Turning Point is the only Rape Crisis Center in Collin County. We provide free services to anyone in need of assistance. OUR VISION is to deliver the highest quality of comprehensive treatment services for survivors of all forms of sexual violence and to set the standard for prevention education that promotes social change to end bullying, sexual harassment and sexual assault.

Passport has a strong reputation for well-run, creative, Christian camps for children and youth. Our camps include moving, theologically stretching worship, experiential Bible study, hands-on mission experiences for youth, and mission education for children. Our camps are led by an energetic staff of college and graduate school students who consider their summers on staff as an expression of their calling, and a ministry to our participating churches. We believe that providing basic food security lays the cornerstone on which people in need can build lives of greater economic security. We believe that once food security is met, other community service agencies will be more effective in their efforts to help people in need move toward economic security. We believe that feeding those in need is an urgent moral and practical imperative. If Blaine County wants a vibrant economy and a connected community, and if it wants to be prepared for civil or natural disaster, then we believe the County must make a commitment to support a coordinated network that acquires and distributes food to children and neighbors in need.

YATOOMAS FOUNDATION FOR THE KIDS INC

The family of Manuel S. Yatooma endured a devastating tragedy on March 11, 1993. Mr. Yatooma was shot twice in the head while interrupting a carjacking. In that instant, a young mother of four boys ranging 20 to 10 years old became a widow, four boys became one of the many fatherless boys, having lost a father to the violence in Detroit. And so it went: Rapid was the spiral from financial security to monetary chaos. Overnight his family went from relative wealth to threatened foreclosure, bankruptcy and dependence on social security. They desperately needed help. Unfortunately, there was no organization like this to provide the family with much-needed support. Now, we are able to assist those -trying to reassemble their lives in the wake of a similar family tragedy. The Yatooma Family wishes to grow this charity to help thousands and millions of other children and their families and bring honor to the legacy of their cherished husband and father, Manuel S. Yatooma. We cannot replace a lost parent. No one can. But, with your help, we are committed to doing all that we can for the kids.

Bridge2Rwanda was formed in 2007 to help expand Rwanda’s global network of friends, to encourage foreign direct investment and to create opportunities for Rwandan students to study abroad. A few years later, President Paul Kagame asked B2R to develop a new scholars program to “burst the bottlenecks” that were preventing Rwanda’s best students from competing for international scholarships. The first class of Bridge2Rwanda Scholars was launched in 2011.

We will help graduating SAL students afford a high school education through scholarship aid in order to achieve their dream of a better life, break the cycle of poverty and serve as agents of change.
