Since 1989, The Shade Tree has provided victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, elder abuse, human trafficking, as well as homeless youth and families, with a wide range of comprehensive support. Our programs also collaborate with other community agencies to offer additional assistance. Vision: Self-reliance for every woman and child! We believe: That no one should ever have to endure a state of homelessness, existing in fear for personal safety and without the means to meet even the most basic of human needs – food and shelter. That every human being, regardless of social status, has the right to be treated with dignity and respect. That all homeless children are victims because they lack choice and mobility. That homelessness is a community problem that impacts everyone. That everyone can be a part of the solution.

STEP’s mission is to provide emergency financial education and support to our active duty junior enlisted military (E1-E6) and recently discharged veteran families. Our focus is on homelessness prevention and assisting our junior service members and their families who are battling to survive financially to meet basic food and other life necessities. STEP assists families in becoming financially self-sufficient through financial counseling and education, by providing emergency grants during their time of crisis and sets them on a path to success while they are protecting our Nation

Habitat for Humanity Middle Keys

Habitat for Humanity of the Middle Keys is a non-profit Christian housing ministry founded on the belief that every man, woman and child deserves a safe, decent and affordable home to call their own. Habitat Middle Keys began in 1991 and is part of a global, nonprofit housing organization operated on Christian principles that seeks to put God's love into action by building homes, communities and hope. We are a volunteer based locally run affiliate dedicated to eliminating substandard housing locally and worldwide. All are welcome and Habitat for Humanity of the Middle Keys has an open-door policy: All who believe that everyone needs a decent, affordable place to live are welcome to help with the work, regardless of race, religion, age, gender, political views, or any of the other distinctions that too often divide people. QUEST COUNSELING & CONSULTING

Quest Counseling and Consulting, Inc. opened its doors in January 2003, is incorporated as a not-for-profit company in the State of Nevada, and received its 501 (c) (3) status from the IRS in 2004. Quest Counseling provides outpatient evidence based therapy for adults and adolescents with substance use, mental health, and co-occurring disorders; individual and family counseling; presentations and workshops; community prevention programs; Felony DUI and Diversion Court Programs for adults (including a co-occurring disorders program for Reno Municipal Court and a Re-entry Program in conjunction with the 2nd Judicial District Court); a transitional living program for adolescent males ages 13 to 17 (Quest House); and comprehensive substance use and mental health evaluations. Many of Quest Counseling’s services are available in English and Spanish.
